The model comes with high resolution picture quality and high quality sound. With support for a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, this model provides high resolution videos. This model provides high quality sound with its SRS TruSurround HD feature. Along with this, the model comes with two 10 watts audio channels and built-in bottom speakers which improved the sound quality of the TV. The addition of a swivel stand with the TV makes the optimized TV viewing from any angle.

PN50C540 supports E-panel technology which uses FilterBright to optimize the view by reducing glare. FilterBright makes fast-action sports scenes clearer by using 600 Hz subfield motion and eliminates blurring by using 001ms response time. This technology uses mega dynamic contrast ratio to boost color and uses full HD motion to provide better resolution during faster motion.
